Yeah! Fcking nice hollydays! So I’m back!

I’ve been to Ireland and… NO, I haven’t been drinking a lot like an Irishman, not my son… but I wanted… hahahaha I love the black and white beverage but most of the time I’ve been on the car and pubs close so early!!

I’ve been traveling around, from east to north and from north to west, sorry, south… next time. From Dublin to Belfast to Ballycastle by the coast (Torr Head, Fair Head), to (Free) Derry (Carrick-a rede, Giant’s Causeway, Dunluce Castle..) , to Malin Beg, then to Letterfrack (nice spot!) with a lot of bohemian people on the Old Monastery Hostel, then to Galway (where I found my roots, and I bought two nice tin wishtles)and then to Doolin and Aran Isles and then to Moher Cliffs and then to Limerick and then to Killarney and then back to Dublin.

Well, I took with me on my back to Spain a C/C++ Leprechaum programmer for helping me on my development hehehehe.

It was so nice that after our trip to Belfast and Derry, British Army have decided to go home, after long enough time. Hope that beautiful cities will enjoy of peace and harmony and think in the development of a new bright future.

Well what could I say…? I love Ireland and as our friend Rory (someone who we met drinking ans singing in a Belfast pub) said Ireland, One! Spain, One! (Great and Free) hehehehehehe

OK, that’s how I feel, little problems makes big trouble…

So now, I can boot from SD again with a 2.6.14 but… system hangs when it wants… so… I’ll keep researching it…

well, it seems that problem with misterious kernel has relation with gcc crosscompiler version… now it works but problems before it… still being there, no RX on ethernet, no wifi…

arghhh bloody hell!

Improving productivity…

Here it goes… some wisdom words about improving productivity… (I read it some time ago on an exceptional embedded systems designing book, and I’ve been developing and cutting it down to my size it since then…)

1) wear headphones and listen to music, let your brain be disturbed only for what its worth…

2)Turn the phone off! or if it has no “off” switch, unplug it from the wall. “a phone is a bell that anyone in the world can ring to bring you running!”

3)Know your most productive hours, and let low-IQ activities for the low hours.

4)Disable the email, and put the bounds to your time, assigning fixed hours to read it. It’s worse than telephone!

5)Finally the most difficult, try to put some privacy on your cubicle, once again, let your brain only be disturbed for what is worth…

Well, just after the post before, now the explanation…

I have a brand new compiled kernel, then I flash it to the board and… well, 9 out of 10 times I do this process, kernel is loading on a paralell dimesion but not in ours…

Just for curiosity, I’ve an “all the same process” compiled kernel that loads 10 out of 10 times! weird or not?

so… I guess U-boot makes strange things to my kernel when I’m not looking it…

weird… so weird…

Well as I just told some time before, I’m designing an embedded system based on AT91RM9200, that’s a lot of fun you know… I’ve a new brand 2.6.17 kernel and a Sid Debian GNU/Linux booting from SD (the out-of-the-box system just run a 2.6.14 and a busybox from rom…)

Well, I’ll tell more things about it when I’ve the time…

Back from the UK

Well, after several days in the sunny England, visiting London in an hour, then spending 3 wonderful days in Sheffield and then looking at the countryside from Sheffield to Leeds from a train’s window, (I decided to sleep for a while in the plane) I’m back in Zaragoza.

I have got a lot of memories from this trip you know, like meeting wonderful people, discovering a new tasty kind of beer (That’s Real Ale), you don’t know what’s beer until you taste Real Ale, all pure taste, no gas, that’s amazing you know and you can drink several pints without getting so drunk while you’re calmly sit around the table chatting with people.
So… I love Sheffield!
